GOAL POWER FUELS PERSONAL POWER

I have traveled a lot in my life and I have met all types of people.  I noticed that the one thing that successful people have in common is that they set goals.  Why are goals so important?  Setting goals gives you focus and organize your time and enables you to map out a plan to accomplishing those goals.

Purpose Figuring out your purpose and why things motivate you will go a long way to ensuring you achieve your goals.  The why is just as important as the how.  The motivation of why is the catalyst that creates the action to keep projects moving into the direction of completion.

Map it out:  When you create your goals you must create a plan to achieve the goal. It's important to create a plan and map out your plan to make your dreams come true.

Find your purpose, create a goal, and make a plan to take action to make your goals a reality.  Remember, you get what you give, so give generously.

THE POWER OF ATTITUDE

Perception is the key to analyzing any event.  We all see things from our own vantage point.  How you view your life is the foundation that builds a successful life.  Your attitude will determine a lot, we’ve all heard the glass half full or glass half empty way of looking at things, and it is a good measure to see how the course of one's life will play out.

Attitude is the first step to changing anything you want.  Taking action is what is actually going to get you to where you want to go in life.  When people come to me and complain about work or situations in their lives and they point out how others are treating them, I remind them that how they react is just as important.  We hear a lot about the morale at work and events and I like to remind each individual person that their personal attitude and behavior affects the morale of any situation.  Before you seek to change things around you, concentrate on changing the attitude within you.

Having a positive or optimistic attitude helps you to achieve more for yourself than a negative or pessimistic one.  Look inside and analyze your attitude towards specific situations, take action to make things happen, and have faith that the universe will give back to you what you give to it.
When you cultivate and develop a positive attitude, you will acquire a power that is so strong yet humble that it is unstoppable.  The foundation of a successful person starts with authentic positivity.  You get what you give so give generously.

Don't Worry, Be Grateful

Many people dismiss positive thinking as "New age" mumbo jumbo.  They snicker and sneer at the concept of thinking something into fruition.  So, is positive thinking one big joke?

No.  Positive thinking is just the gateway to many techniques that can be life-changing.  The law of attraction, gratitude, and action all work together to lead to a life of success.  Positive thinking is the catalyst that gets the ball rolling in the right direction.  Gratitude is the reason the ball keeps moving.

Here is one of my favorite Gratitude quotes by author Melody Beattie:

The word Gratitude is not strange to most of us. We all at one time or the other must have come across the word a number of times in our lifetime. You might have probably heard of the adage, ‘Be grateful for small mercies’ or probably the one that says, ‘have an attitude of gratitude’. They just all signify that gratitude is a very important virtue we all should develop.

One might think, ‘but I always express my gratitude to deserving people’. Yes, I agree with you but it is important to note that gratitude is more than just mere expression, it involves living a life of gratitude. It is not enough to just say the words thank you, it has to do with living by them. Gratitude is not something that should be reserved for situations like getting a new job, graduation ceremonies or in response to a gift received.   You can express gratitude all day, every day for some of the simple but appreciated things that life has gifted us. The fact that you can read this post and understand it is something that you can be grateful for.

I understand that we are not hardwired to expressing an attitude of gratitude, especially during tough situations. It is something that we need to develop just like we develop certain skills. The benefits are numerous.

Look out for things to be grateful every day:  A lot of people feel depressed on a daily basis because they forget the good things that happen to them but rather focus on the bad things. One of the best ways you can practice gratitude is by finding reasons to be grateful. It could be just for having a nice meal. Practicing this regularly will help change your perspective and when you are positive about life situations, you tend to achieve better.

Be realistic about your gratitude: Are you one of those that that just express a heart of gratitude because you have been taught and read of its benefits. Learn to make it real. Let it flow from the inside and sooner than expected, it will become a part of you.

Take your relationships seriously: It is a known fact that our relationships with others will help to determine how happy we will be and will be a determining factor for the level of gratitude. Learn to develop healthy relationships and improve your gratitude towards them

Always express your gratitude: Expressing gratitude is not just a courtesy, it entails showing your heart. By doing this, you are obeying the two main principles of practicing gratitude which is to identify the goodwill and appreciating it genuinely.

·         Gratitude takes your mind off your worries and helps you realize how much you have.  You're more blessed than you may think.

Practicing gratitude is a necessity if you want to live a healthy life. Although sometimes beginning the practice may be difficult. However, when you start it, it has a magnetizing power that will keep you going. All you need to do is to just Start, write down the things you have to be grateful for, feel it in order to make it real and most importantly share it.

Fear of Failure

Fear of Failure

“Giving up is the only sure way to fail.” — Gena Showalter
Have you ever felt lost? Have you experienced that feeling of emptiness, like something is missing? To admit we feel “lost” is admitting that we are looking for something. You might think you’d know if you were lost but would you know if you never had a destination in mind?
Many of us who have lost our way in life and are drifting blindly because we never developed a roadmap to begin with. We are afraid to create that path because we do not want to fail.
We fear failure. How can you fail if you don’t create goals to reach? That fear of failing is the reason some of us delay creating goals. Instead of letting the fear of failure stop us, we should use it to start anew.
“Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising every time we fail.”– Confucius
Failure is just a delay, it is not a reason to give up. It is a temporary detour, and should not be a dead end. The only way to avoid failure is to not try at all.
An integral aspect of success is learning from failure and using that knowledge to get it right the next time. Start again now. Do not give up. Dare to fail big now.
“Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.” - Robert F. Kennedy

KINDNESS

I live by the motto, “You get what you give.”  There are an increasing number of recent scientific studies that show that people who are more grateful and kind have higher levels of well-being and are happier, less depressed and more satisfied with their lives and social relationships. The more you appreciate what you have in your life, the more you get and experience things that you enjoy. Why? Because usually, you attract into your life what you focus upon.

Kindness simply is the act of being caring, tenderhearted and compassionate towards others whiles Gratitude can be defined as "the quality of being thankful, ready to come back and show appreciation and to return an act of kindness. Being kind to people as well as being grateful makes a better place to live. People who are thankful have more positive emotions and are better able to reach their goals. Kindness and gratitude are taught by every religion, be it Christianity, Hinduism or Islam or any other religion. They all teach to express kindness towards others. But being cruel or not showing gratitude to people is a bad habit that brings no good. Nature has own ways of expressing gratitude and kindness.

Kindness and gratitude are not a virtue to be adopted or showcased in specific situations, but rather, it should be imbibed as the basic behavioral attribute of human beings. Kindness and gratitude are not only a religious virtue, but it can be very well adjusted in all spheres of life.

Keep in mind that 'what goes around comes around'. So an act of kindness or gratitude shown to someone today will surely come back to you tomorrow. Based on this you should learn from your experience or mistakes and move ahead in the positive direction. Happiness makes humans healthy; it lowers our blood pressure, builds our immunity, helps us to sleep better at night, helps us to handle stress, and just makes our life worth living. But bear in mind this cannot be achieved by just folding our arms but by showing kindness and gratitude to become happy in life.

Set Goals & Success will come! 💍

Goals

Goal setting is essential to success.  If you do not know where you want to end up then you may go down many crooked paths.  Goals will make your crooked paths straight.  How can you finish a game if you don't know how many points you need or the time limit you have to finish the race?  What do you want the end result to be?  Is it marriage, kids or to be a teacher or doctor or a millionaire entrepreneur?  If you don't know what is important to you then you will end up living a life for others.  Take some time to figure out what is important to you.  Is it family time or helping others?  Find out what makes you smile and start there.  The majority of our lives is research.  We're trying different things to see what fits us best.  Find the answers to your questions.  Once you find things you enjoy then you can start making goals and creating paths to help you achieve those goals.  Live on purpose not by chance.

TAKE CHARGE! ACT NOW!

Would you like to be more successful and have the ability to achieve all of your ambitions? To know you can take on life’s biggest challenges and reach new pinnacles of success?

Goals are exciting, but can also seem elusive. To realize them you need ambition and drive. You need to be challenged without biting off more than you can chew, and you need the motivation to see them through to completion. Otherwise, your goals turn into little more than pipe dreams.

Your goals are within your grasp – and hypnosis can help you reach them.

9 RULES TO BECOME STRESS FREE IN 2017

9 RULES TO BECOME STRESS FREE IN 2017

2017 is here and there is no turning back.  We are welcoming a new U.S. President and world and life events are unfolding at a rapid pace.  We left 2016 a little jaded with many mass atrocities that hit both foreign and domestic territories.  We survived the Zika virus scare, Aleppo, and Brexit.  A lot of people face stress triggering situations on a daily basis.  It can be caused by a lot of factors both physical and otherwise. Pressure from work, death or problems with loved ones, financial problems, lack of sleep, and sickness are obvious stress triggers. Anything that affects the natural balance of the body is a stress trigger and how our body react to situations is what we know as stress.

Stress sometimes can be temporary and healthy. That slight rush when we're nearing a deadline and we push ourselves to complete the task is healthy stress.  However, if it becomes persistent and starts to infringe on our lives and hinder health and productivity then it can become dangerous.

Below are some important tips that will help you cope with stress

Discover your stress triggers: The most important step that we must not neglect in dealing with stress is to discover what causes our stress.. It could be work, pressure from family and friends, lack of sleep etc. The most important thing is to understand your body system and the things that causes stress for you.

Once you are able to discover the triggers of stress in your life, then you will be able to properly manage the stress in your life. Take a moment and self reflect and figure out what is causing you discomfort.

Change the situation where possible and learn to adapt to the ones that you cannot change: The fact is that we cannot totally avoid the factors that triggers stress. It is left for us to ascertain situations where we can avoid and the ones we need to adapt to. If you cannot avoid the situation, then you need to change your mentality about the situation. That way, it will help reduce the stress associated with certain events or situations.

Remain Positive: Maintaining a positive attitude towards situations in life is one of the ways we can reduce stress. Negativity is a stressor and the earlier we develop our mindset to be optimistic about life, the more peaceful we will become.

Exercise: Exercise is very important for the wellbeing of the body. If you want to live a healthy, stress-free and a longer life, then exercise need to be part of your daily or weekly routine.  Stay active and move.  Even if it means taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work or going for a walk after work.  Every action matters.

Find time to relax:  Find some Me time.  Take a deep breath, sit down for at least ten minutes with your eyes closed during the day.  It is most helpful to do this during lunch or right after a hard day at work.  Relaxation might involve listening to music, meditating, and or yoga.

Talk to someone about your feelings:  Are you stressed? Sharing your feelings with people you can trust can help alleviate the pressures of everyday life.  We all have the need to vent sometimes and it can be a great stress reliever.

Eat healthy meals: Some of us are so busy that we barely have time to eat healthy and balanced meals. Healthy eating is not only necessary for your physical growth and well-being, it also helps to relax the nerves and reduces stress.  Eating healthy will take time and some planning.  When we eat of out convenience we don't always make the healthiest choices.

Get a hobby: Do you have something that draws your attention? It could be reading books, playing or watching football, golf, watching tv, painting, building bird houses or just hanging out with friends.  Indulging in activities that makes you happy from the inside is a unique antidote to stress.

Set achievable goals: Don't beat yourself up.  We are often our harshest critic.  Set realistic goals that are inline with your true feelings.  In our journey to excellence we attempt to make everything around us perfect, we sometimes set unrealistic goals that will only leave us feeling like complete failures.  Set realistic goals and if you don't quite reach them, learn from the mistakes and use those mistakes on your journey to excellence.

At the end of the day, we're all stressed at some point in our lives. Hopefully some of these tips can help you deal with stress so you can live a healthy purposeful life.
